Setting up your Flote VPN under Mac OSX (10.5/10.6)

Setting up vpn access under Mac OSX is quick and easy. The following instructions will take you step by step in setting up your Flote connection. Or use the OSX Installer to do most of the dirty work for you!

Go to System Preferences > Network



Click the + at the bottom left



Select VPN and PPTP in the popup (although if you are having network issues you could try set VPN Type to L2TP over IPSec)
Call it Flote UK in Service Name
Hit Create



Under server address put one of the UK server addresses
Account Name is your username
Try leaving Encryption to None



Under Authentication settings put your password



Under Advanced make sure to tick “Send all traffic over VPN connection”
Click “Show VPN status in menu bar”



Hit Apply



Now the Flote UK panel will appear in the menu bar
